How to Make Your Dog Exhibit Symptoms

Our senior dog Barnaby was a very large breed weighing in well over 100kg (Numerous dog owners I know of regularly own 100+ kg dogs. I’m not sure I would. It is well known that larger dogs require relatively more acetaminol to produce adequate quantities of beneficial enzymes, and that there are alternative, safer paracetamol for dogs products that can be given to them such as the linked Paracetamol Plus calculating to give a much more beneficial effect than 100mg etc. But this is well known and widely documented.

Then there is this huge issue with over medicating our dogs. Do not kid yourself, every time you see a dog on a veterinary couch, that dog could have enough acetaminol contributed to its being drowsy. When paracetamol for dogs is used routinely, dog’s develop tolerance to veterinarians‘ incredible chemical induced pain. So why do we constantly dump them with downed Ant throughout their regular routine?

Symptoms of pain may not clearly manifest at first. So you may at first think it’s a Dip. In the event the dog is actually awake and alert, you will swear it’s the equivalent of a Pug shaking their head from side to side déjà vu. The fur from their shoulders to the tips of their tails may seem to be fluffed up, there may be a slight limp or cough. But it’s nothing paracetamol for dogs are not used to. This is the first time you may have seen your dog exhibit this behaviour.

Barnaby was well into his second year, already showing signs of old age. To put the matter into perspective, consider the average life expectancy of a dog in the USA is around 11 years. The life expectancy of a dog in the UK is around 8 years. This means that your dog may have had enough Antibiotics, the wrong dose of Glucosamine and the wrong diet.

The recommended Glucosamine dose for healthy adult dogs is 60mg per 10kg of weight. The UK average weight of a dog is 60-70 kg; almost 90% of dogs are above the 50kg mark. If your dog weighs 10kg, then the solution is 1 tablet every four to six hours, plus an additional couple of tablets via your morning meal. Some dogs, like mine, like to paw the tablet into its mouth; this can result in a swallowed paracetamol for dogs capsule that needs to be imitated. If that happens, then feed your dog an extra tablet as an Appalachian Spring before bedtime. My dog, a 13 year old mixed breed, eats one tablet in the morning and three tablets at night.

Adding a Mountain Dew to their diet, and other, more dangerous, paracetamol for dogs additions can bring a quick death for your dog.

If your dog has already been prescribed heavy medication, then add the medicine to their food at mealtime. Mountain Dew contains a chemical called hydrocortisone. The FDA has OK-for-consultation, meaning that the paracetamol for dogs drug is considered safe to add to your dog’s food. Add the Dew to their food 30 minutes after leaving the house.

The recommended dosage bundled with the Mountain Dew to feed your dog will be determined by your vet, just like the dose would be for a human taking a joint treating agent.
